The Weihe River Landscape Pavilion, designed by PLAT ASIA in 2017, was completed in 2022. Situated on the south bank of the Weihe River through the Xixian New Area in Shaanxi, it serves as a public amenity, a viewing Pavilion, a restroom, and a mini shop. The façade is transformed from traditional roof, caved in the surface and flip over the plate as the roof eave, two significant materials metal panel and tamped earth in different texture and glamour, present the times, blend edge of the architecture and environment, introduce the surrounding into interiors, creating a harmony riverfront spatial experience and expression to native culture.
