Architect JUNG Donghyun attended the theme talk “A Journey to Localized Experience and New Culture – Rethink Tourism” hosted by Roca Beijing Gallery. He gave a speech titled “Architecture Immersed with Nature.” He spoke with architect Han Wenqiang and Shuhei Aoyama, a special Chinese-Korean-Japanese group, who discussed the cultural differences among the three countries and tourism architecture design, considering localization and experience. At the end of the talks, they share their journey: the discovery of the Beijing ancient townscape, the local cultural context from their own country, and the reuse of architectural materials in the renovated projects.
