The “Borderland Architecture” special feature in the October 2025 issue of Architectural Practice magazine selects the Volcano-In Hotel of Arrivers as its cover and reports on the project story. It also includes an interview with Bian Baoyang, the lead architect of Volcano-In Resort. Titled “PLAT ASIA: Architecture as a Trace on the Earth,” the interview recounts the 16-year practice trajectory and future visions of the team he leads in Inner Mongolia’s borderlands, their dedication to bringing positive local impact through design, and shares his original aspiration and perseverance in creating architecture on the borderland of China.
