Recently, Chairman Bian Baoyang organized a visit to the Forbidden Palace for the PLAT ASIA Team. Before the tour, architect Bian Baoyang gave a three-hour lecture about the building history of the Forbidden Palace at PLAT ASIA. Comprising Origins, Collection, and Present, the three main parts shed light on the Forbidden Palace, including its site selection, layout, functions, and historical context. The lecture compares the exhibition strategy to that of other world-class modern museums. And nowadays, IP creation keeps pace with technological and lifestyle developments. As designers, we should propose our own approach to future museum exhibitions in our design projects.
During the visit, our teams really experienced the classic, historical atmosphere of the largest Palace Museum in the world, touched by the order of the buildings, the grand scale of the Palace, the incredible architectural details, and the deliberate spatial design by the builders.
