PLAT ASIA explores the Steppe Aesthetics concept by architect Bian Baoyang, practiced in the project Xarmuren Hasar Steppe City Resort, and a new type of tourism by design. The project also applied the sustainable design idea Steppe-Life Metabolism proposed by architect Nandin. Construction began in the fall of 2019 and is expected to be completed this fall. Balancing the architecture and steppe in a modern design language, the featured wind installation integrates the wind, cloud, river, and grassland into the system of Steppe Aesthetics.
In addition, the design team aims to present a model in 3D printing technology and explore its approach to realizing design today.
