Tencent Design Creation Camp for southwest China designers at Nanning opened in September. Architect JUNG Donghyun was invited to give a keynote at the ceremony. Titled “Tectonic of XUTING,” his speech discusses XUTING, an essential architectural element in the SHANSHUI Paintings. Its simple outlook makes the scenic picture sense, and the same natural environments are often found in contemporary architectural contexts. He exemplified the projects that were designed with the XUTING idea and strategy in this speech.
