This sharing session on the theme of Library shed light on a classic book <Collection: Furniture of the Ming Dynasty> (Author: Wan ShiXiang), published in 2003. The designer Bi Baihui introduced the book to us. As a classic monograph on Ming Dynasty-style furniture, it strategically concludes with a history, materials, manufacturing, craft features, and an appreciation and analysis of the style. In addition, in the book, he discovered and researched the relationships between Ming Dynasty-style furniture and architectural characteristics in the Ming Dynasty. Designer Bi Baihui gave an abundant presentation and detailed introduction to this book, covering modern furniture design inspired by traditional Chinese furniture, an architectural language applied to furniture design, and some of her interpretations of New Chinese Style furniture and interior design. At last, she looks forward to a traditional Chinese aesthetic being realized and received by people today.
