Nandin, architect, design director, and partner of PLAT ASIA, is invited to share the idea about the project Silk-Road Dreamland Steppe Resort, as the project architect lead team completed this incredible steppe project. At the YUANYE International architectural design sharing meeting, he engages in discussions with architects from around the globe.
Designed in 2019 and completed this year, the project’s design concept was derived from the aesthetics of the steppe; it combined the phenomena of wind, water, grass, cloud, and sky, applied and designed for people’s experience.
The commentator Ms. Liu from OBERMEYER discusses with Nandin in two questions: what’s the design approach to different cities in the backdrop of Mongolian culture for him? How to achieve the FUTURE MONGOLIA in architecture design with the high-technological era of digitalization, mobile, and 5G?
As architect Nandin said, the nomadic culture is reflected in contemporary strategy. It can be translated into urban architecture in various ways, and at the same time, it provides better living conditions and an environment for locals. In the digital era, FUTURE MONGOLIA has been proposed to showcase and create a more convenient and technologically advanced world for the natives of the steppe, which is also the original intention behind proposing the idea for Nandin.
