The Xilamuren Silk-Road Dreamland Steppe Resort is recognized as a gold winner in the architecture – hotel/resort category at the 2025 ICDA International Creative Design Awards, which featured creativity, innovation, diversity, and cutting-edge design in global design work, hosted by IAA Alliance.
The Steppe Resort, inspired by the idea of Living with Water and a traditional nomadic lifestyle in the Steppe, features a masterplan layout along an undulating path like a river. The wind installation retains the wind’s shape and sound for a sensory experience and also serves as a landscape feature. The resort derives the aesthetics of the Steppe with rivers, grassland, wind, cloud, sky; these natural elements build an initial and rural feel for people to experience the Steppe in there.
