Profile

Nandin, emerging architect, Mongolian ethnic in China, graduated at Architecture in Beijing Jiaotong University. He everly work experience includes Zaha Hadid Architects and Studio Zhu Pei, etc.; then study in Bartlett School of Architecture, UCL, and achieved a Master degree at Architecture in 2019. He joined in PLAT ASIA and being a partner in 2020. Nandin take Steppe Culture as a research subject and practice considering the local context, environment and human’s behavior, proposed the theme “Future Mongolia” focus on sustainable design principles. He shared this concept at Cambridge University at session and make the speech “Metabolism of Mongolia Yurt”. In 2019, himself did a construction experiment “yurt in wind” at steppe for three month, at the same series, he take the “nomadic cinema” temporary installation participate in youth films week host by Minzu University of China; and the wind installation in Xarmuren Hasar Silkroad Dreamland Resort, which completed at 2021 designed by PLAT ASIA, also respond to the environment and traditions in these practices of steppe. His newest interiors design for a film studio merged the nature into urban space. He was interviewed by COSMO magazine and Global Times, been the host of design team and some other social events.
