In the context of the profound and widespread cultural significance of Chinese Characters, architect Bian Baoyang gives a talk on Chinese Characters in this sharing session, sharing with us the art of script and the aesthetics of Chinese Characters. Reviewing the Oracle bone script, Chinese bronze inscriptions, Seal script, Clerical script, Semi-cursive script, Cursive script, and Regular script in the Chinese script styles, the Chinese Characters evolve with the culture, art, and history. Architect Bian Baoyang concludes that there are three stages: Origins, Creation, and Retrospect, based on his several years of practice and experience with Chinese Character scripts. Before the JIN Dynasty (AD266-AD420), the scripts were under an original time; when it came to the Yuan Dynasty (AD1271-AD1368), it developed into an abundant and diverse era, even reaching the pinnacle of script art; last, it went on a trend to idolize the ancient after the Yuan Dynasty.

We learn structural knowledge and Eastern aesthetics from the development of Chinese Character Scripts, which also benefits the design.

In the discussion, the topics covered were architecture and script art in modern design, and the inspiration of script art resonated with the architects. The two-hour talks made great sense for us.

[14

0":"post-2767","1":"post","2":"type-post","3":"status-publish","4":"format-standard","5":"has-post-thumbnail","7":"category-idea-exchange
["GET
